Exercise ECG

An Exercise ECG is a test that monitors your heart while it is put under stress, normally on a treadmill. It is used to help diagnose coronary artery disease as some individuals may only have symptoms or ECG changes detectable during exercise. Electrodes are placed on your chest and held in place by a belt that is worn around the waist. The test starts at a slow walking pace and increases in speed and incline every 3 minutes. The test is stopped when you reach your predicted heart rate.
