What type of cardio assessment do you need?
Your doctor or consultant, or a specialist at TIC Cardio, will recommend the most appropriate type of assessment for your condition. This is a brief guide to the services we can provide. You will find more details of individual services by clicking on the name of the service.
24hr ECG Monitoring is a test where an ECG recording is carried out over a period of 24 hours.
This scan looks at the abdominal aorta and is used to detect the presence of an aneurysm.
The latest NICE guidelines recommend that a diagnosis of high blood pressure should be confirmed using 24-hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring.
A Bubble Study is an ultrasound study of the heart performed while an agitated solution is injected into a small vein in the back of the hand.
This test is for people with symptoms that occur rarely and can be worn until they experience the symptoms.
The Carotid Duplex Scan is a painless and non-invasive procedure that measures the extent of thickness of any plaque build-up within the carotid arteries using ultrasound.
An Echo is an ultrasound of the heart. It is non-invasive, safe and painless.
An ECG is a quick, simple and painless test that records the electrical activity of the heart.
An Exercise ECG is a test that monitors the heart while it is put under stress, normally on a treadmill.
This involves exercising on a bike, while having an ultrasound of the heart.
You’ll get fast results. The average UK waiting time for test results by the NHS can be as long as 6+ weeks. That wait can be an anxious and worrying time, or often spent in pain. At TIC Cardio you can book a same day assessment and have your results within 4 – 24 hrs.
Our flexible booking system, opening times and state-of- the art equipment mean that you can have all the investigations you need under one roof at a time that’s convenient for you. If you are unable to attend our clinic, we can offer a unique service where we can provide an office or home visit.
